Physical Pharmaceutics II
A Physical Pharmacy Virtual Lab is an online simulation platform that allows students to perform important pharmaceutical experiments digitally using a computer. It replicates laboratory procedures related to powder flow properties, particle size analysis, density measurement, sedimentation behavior, viscosity determination, and accelerated stability testing through interactive simulations. These virtual experiments help students understand fundamental concepts such as flowability, cohesiveness, particle size distribution, compressibility, suspension stability, rheological behavior, and drug degradation kinetics. They also enable students to observe experimental procedures, record data, perform calculations, and interpret results in a safe, simple, and cost-effective learning environment without requiring physical laboratory equipment. In addition, the virtual lab strengthens the connection between theoretical principles of physical pharmacy and their practical applications in pharmaceutical formulation, manufacturing, quality control, and stability assessment.
The Physical Pharmacy Virtual Lab is designed to provide students with an interactive environment to understand the principles of pharmaceutical calculations, material properties, and formulation-related phenomena through computer-based simulations.
